Though we usually view cats as shy and timid creatures, they can also be as rascals as dogs.They can also display aggressive behaviors and become violent, and these behaviors are normal.Though they may not cause injury and damage as much as a dog can do, but they can also bite you, as well as scratch you.
It is easy to know if a cat is angry because there are signs that we can easily see.You can easily notice when a cat is angry.Their back are hunched or arched when they are about to attack.They also meow out loud and angrily, sometimes they hiss or growl.
Taming a cat showing aggression is easy.But first, you must know why the cat acting in such way.There are several different reasons for them to act such way.It is either they fear of something, they feel some discomfort, or their instinct to protect their area or newborn.
Here are some ways to tame an angry, mischievous cat:
1. When the cat is in mid attack, a spray of water will work to immediately stop it. Water is disliked by almost all cats. And splashing water is an easy way to immediately prevent a cat from attacking.
2. ”Time-out” is a method mothers do to stop a toddler from temper tantrums and it is also effective to use on mischievous cats. Place them somewhere far from the cause of their like in a closed-door room until they get back to their normal temper.
3. Cats do not like noise. It is irritating for them when they hear noisy sounds. Put some gravel in a can and shake it hard to divert them.
4. If you observe that your cat only gets worked up when they see someone new to them, leave them alone until they behave back to normal.
5. If nothing of these tips seems to help tame your cat, seek the advice of your veterinarian as soon as possible. There may be other serious reasons on why they suddenly become violent.
